Custom business software for SME manufacturing

Customer portals, production status pages, project dashboards, quality forms, AI agents for administration. The modules your ERP package lacks. We replace nothing, we build what is missing on top. With AI built in from day one, not as a plug-in afterwards.

When custom is the right choice

Standard software is usually a better choice than custom. ERP packages like Exact, AFAS, Ridder iQ and ECI have millions in development behind them and do eighty percent of what SME manufacturers need. Starting with a standard package is almost always the right answer.

But the last twenty percent often makes the difference. That is where the processes that make your business special sit, the customer questions standard has no answer to, the workflows hanging in an Excel file or a mailbox. That is where custom fits.

  • A recurring process now in Excel or email that regularly causes errors or lost time
  • A customer demand your competitors do not yet answer (customer portal, real-time status, online configurator)
  • A module you would want in your ERP but is not there
  • An integration between systems now done manually (ERP to bookkeeping, production to invoicing)
  • A wish to add AI or automation to existing processes

During scoping we first check whether standard software solves your problem. If it does, we say so. Building custom where a standard package would work better costs you money without giving anything back.

What we build

Customer portals

An environment where your customers manage their data, request quotes, track orders, download documents, submit support tickets. Works alongside your ERP, reads live production status, relieves your back office.

Production status and project dashboards

What is running now? Which work order is behind schedule? Which stock is below minimum? Live dashboards on PC, tablet and large screens in the workshop. Runs on data from your existing ERP, MES or WMS.

Quote and calculation systems

For manufacturers with complex configurable products. Configurator systems that generate quotes based on your products, bills of materials and price lists. Including ERP integration and automatic post-calculation.

AI agents for administration and planning

An AI agent is not a chatbot. A chatbot answers questions. An agent performs tasks across multiple systems at once. Quote follow-up, work preparation, invoice control, mailbox triage. Work that takes hours becomes minutes of checking.

Specific ERP modules and integrations

Modules your standard package lacks: industry-specific calculations, quality control forms per project phase, certificate management, contract management. Plus integrations between your existing systems.

Own platforms and SaaS

For companies with multiple locations, franchise structures or who deliver software to their own customers: multi-tenant platforms with isolation per customer, single sign-on, branding per environment.

Three working examples

A complete ERP for a laser cladding company

A complete business software for a laser cladding specialist. BOM management, quote engine with branded PDF output, spare parts catalogue with 150+ items, customer portal. Sole architect and developer was VoidTech. In production since delivery. Work preparation went from four hours to forty-five minutes per job through automated bills of materials and item recognition in the ERP.

Maintenance administration for a fleet owner in heavy transport

AI-driven maintenance administration with automatic document processing for service tickets and invoices. Connection between maintenance, ERP and invoicing. Sixty percent less manual entry. AI reads incoming service tickets, recognises vehicle and parts, and creates the invoice lines automatically.

Website with AI marketing engine for a construction company

A construction company wanted to stay active on blog and social media without a copywriter. We built an AI engine that generates, schedules and publishes blog posts and social media posts across multiple channels. Weekly content without a copywriter.

What sets us apart

We do not replace your ERP

An ERP switch quickly costs an SME manufacturer a hundred thousand euro or more and takes years. We do not start there. Your existing ERP (Exact, AFAS, Ridder iQ, ECI, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) stays. We build what is needed alongside it and handle the integrations.

AI is built in, not a plug-in afterwards

Most custom software agencies build the software first and add AI later if at all. We think from the first sketch about where AI adds value. That is not an extra option, it is how we build by default.

Self-hosted on your own infrastructure

No SaaS subscription, no vendor lock-in. Your business software runs on your own server or a VPS you rent. You own the codebase and the data. GDPR and EU AI Act compliant.

Shop-floor experience behind the software

Patrick, our founder, worked eighteen years in industrial roles: CNC machining, laser cladding, welding, thermal spraying, production management. At Lagersmit, Stork Gears & Services, Heavy Cargo Lifters. Clients such as Shell, Wärtsilä and IHC called on him for production improvements. He knows how a work planner looks at a bill of materials, because he was a work planner himself for years.

No reselling, no staffing

We build ourselves. No subcontractors, no externals placed on your project who then disappear. The same team for build, delivery and further development.

Frequently asked questions

We have Exact, AFAS, Ridder iQ or SAP. Can you work with that?

Yes. These are the ERP packages we almost always work alongside. We do not replace them, we build what is missing on top and handle the integration. During scoping we first check which APIs or interfaces your ERP offers.

How does VoidTech differ from other custom software agencies?

Three things. AI is built in by default, not a plug-in afterwards. Our founder has eighteen years of shop-floor experience in manufacturing. And we build self-hosted, so you own your software and data, no vendor lock-in.

What is the difference between custom and low-code platforms?

Low-code platforms (Mendix, OutSystems, Microsoft Power Apps) are fast and cheap for simple applications. Custom gives more flexibility, better performance and no platform lock-in. For projects under 5,000 euro low-code is often a better choice.

What happens if VoidTech ever ceases to exist?

You own your codebase. It sits on your own infrastructure, written in mainstream frameworks (Laravel, Python, Vue) maintained by thousands of developers in the Netherlands. Any experienced Laravel developer can take over your code.

Do we get ongoing support after delivery?

Yes, optional. A maintenance contract covers updates, security patches, small changes and further development. No obligation, and always cancellable.

How do you handle our data?

Self-hosted by default on your own infrastructure or a VPS of your choice. No external cloud, no data-processor relationship, no vendor lock-in. GDPR and EU AI Act compliant.

Do you also work for smaller companies?

Our lower limit is around ten employees, with the rule of thumb: for whom custom becomes worthwhile. For very small companies a combination of standard SaaS tools is usually a better route. We say so honestly.

What it costs

  • A defined module or integration (e.g. ERP-to-webshop, or a specific form system): from 5,000 euro
  • A customer portal with a handful of core functions (login, order overview, documents, support): from 12,000 euro
  • A production status dashboard with ERP integration and live data: from 15,000 euro
  • A complete platform or multi-tenant SaaS: from 40,000 euro, depending on scope

Our rates and approach are transparent on the approach page. Fixed hourly rates on hour cards for smaller changes, fixed prices for projects with a clear scope.
